Round case in the rare 18 kt rose gold version with a diameter of 36 mm.
Two-tone dial with two subdials (bicompax) with complex graphics that include a central spiral scale and a calculation scale that interacts with the external rotating bezel.
The code 217012 engraved on the case back is not the model's reference number, but the Swiss patent number granted to Breitling in 1940 for the invention of the rotating bezel with a logarithmic slide rule. This system allowed scientists, engineers, and pilots to perform complex mathematical calculations directly on their wrists.
