Doppelchronograph, rattrapante, sdoppiante in Italian is the name of the additional complication of a chronograph that allows you to measure the so-called “partial times”, or a second event that began at the same time as the first. This function is controlled by a third button located at 10 o’clock that acts on a second hand of the chronograph. It is a very complicated function to obtain on a mechanical movement.
